The project:
MC4 is a European partnership aiming to establish circular approaches for carbon and glass fiber composites. MC4 will make the European carbon and glass fiber value chains more circular, independent and competitive.
In order to achieve its objectives, MC4 gathers 15 partners covering the whole value chains: Profactor, Fundación para la Investigación, Desarrollo y Aplicaciones de Materiales Compuestos (FIDAMC), Fundación Gaiker, Fundación Cidetec, VDL Fibretech Industries BV, Saechsisches Textilforschungsinstitut E.V. (STFI), Reparaciones Naúticas Amura S.L., Managing Composites S.L., Commissariat a L’Energies Atomique et aux Energies Alternatives (CEA), Association Techtera, 3B-Fiberglass, Innovation in Reseach & Engineering Solutions (IRES), Atelier23 SRL (Lab23), Chomarat Textiles Industries and I-Red Infrarot Systema GmbH.
CIDETEC will work on epoxy resins based on dynamic covalent chemistry for the direct re-use of the composite materials.
MC4 is funded by the European Union.
