The European composites, plastics and polymer processing platform (ECP4) has chosen Elena Jubete from CIDETEC Surface Engineering as their representative in the Automotive Group of the Cricular Plastics Alliance. Elena will represent the interests of the ECP4 platform and take part also in the subgroups of R&D and investments and Circularity by design.

The Circular Plastics Alliance is a new initiative, promoted by the European Comission, which gathers public and private stakeholders in the plastics value chains to promote voluntary actions and commitments for more recycled plastics. The Circular Plastics Alliance wants to ensure that 10 million tonnes of recycled plastics are used to make products in Europe in 2025.There are currently 160 entities that has firmed such declaration, among them ECP4.

The first meeting of the Automotive working group of the Circular Plastics Alliance took place last Friday 15th of November, in Brussels, at the premises of CLEPA , the European association of automotive suppliers, and in this firs reunion, the chairs, cochairs and thematic coordinators of the group were established, and the first actions launched. It was a succesfull meeting, the first one of three every year, where more than 35 attendees covering the whole value chain of the automotive sector.
